The .50 cal has incredible recoil and sound. It is usually used for sport shooting, or occasionally hunting. Do you have any other uses that you find for it? Feel free to say.

1. Putting a hole into, oh, let's say a TANK! 2. Blowing up your friendly neighborhood ARMORED TRUCK! 3. Installing a watermellon-sized hole into someone's torso from a mile and a half away.
Seriously, if a .50 cal rifle, I'd say long, long distance shooting and military applications. If a handgun, besides hunting, I'd say just a novelty item. Like the Desert Eagles...you can hunt, but they're mostly just a novelty to shoot.
Maybe someone else with think of some more.

My best friend owns and operates a shooting range. He had a guy out there one day with a Barrett .50 BMG rifle. The blast was enough to clear debris from a 10 foot circle.
I guess one could be used to clean leaves out of the yard in the fall.

Funny. I guess you could use one as a flashlight if it was night time. A strobe light possibly if you have an automatic.
